Rokinon/Samyang 135mm f/2 Ring Kit
Rokinon/Samyang 135mm f/2 Ring Kit
The Rokinon or Samyang 135mm f/2 lens is a favorite among astrophotographers, remaining in their kit even as they upgrade to larger equipment. The nrStellar Ring Mounting System is designed to last as long as your Rokinon, creating a reliable deep-sky astrophotography rig you'll use for years.
Why Choose the nrStellar Ring System?
Key Features:
- Customizable, Modular System: Mix and match add-ons to customize your setup with an autofocuser, guide scope, ASIAIR/MiniPC, and more
- Easy Lens Rotation: Geared autofocus allows for easy lens rotation with zero added backlash
-
Premium, Carefully Selected Materials:
- 18-8 stainless steel threaded connections resist rust and outlast direct plastic threading. Embedded nuts provide stronger pull-out resistance than threaded inserts.
- Carbon fiber-infused PETG rings and add-ons offer better temperature resistance and rigidity than standard plastics. Our custom blend of carbon fiber PETG performs better than commercially available PETG-CF blends.
- Waterproof, closed-cell EPDM foam liner holds your lens securely without pressure points
- Increased Rigidity: Reduce camera sag with our camera support (see compatibility list below)
- Low Center of Mass: Makes the most of your mount’s payload capabilities by moving the heavier add-ons to the lower add-on mounting locations.
- Compatibility: Works with both the normal and the cinema versions of the Rokinon/Samyang 135mm f2 lens
All nrStellar products come with a 2 year warranty. If you experience any issues, just shoot us an email and we’ll sort you out.

I have very much enjoyed my experience with the nrStellar Rokinon ring set. Out of the box, I could clearly see that this kit was very high quality. The rings are thick and feel very sturdy. They also have an incredible texture and the nrStellar logo on them is very premium. It comes with many accessories such as an autofocus bracket and gear (which works very well, I was getting very good curves with R^2 above 0.98), a mount for your Mele computer or ASIAIR, a findshoe bracket for a guide scope or anything with a findershoe, etc. This kit shows attention to detail unlike anything else I can currently find on the market and just has a really premium feel. Something that the nrStellar kit offered which was a complaint I had with my old Rokinon ring system is that it is very easy to rotate your imaging train because of its use of gears with the autofocusing system. This helped rotate my imaging train quickly and avoid messing with belts in the cold. Overall, I highly recommend the nrStellar ring kit as an all-in-one premium solution for anyone who is looking to get into astrophotography with the Rokinon.
