Ports on the back of astronomy cameras struggle to handle the real-world abuse many imagers put them through. A snag from a TeleGizmos cover, a shift in the trunk during transport, or a bump to a plugged-in USB cable can bend connectors or shear off power jacks. The nrStellar Astrocamera Port Protector acts as a bumper to block these impacts from hitting your cables.

Rigid, Impact-Resistant Protection

This is a rigid, carbon-fiber-reinforced PETG sleeve that slides over the rear of your astronomy camera and extends past your USB and power connectors. It uses a snug friction fit, staying firmly in place even when the entire rig is carried or stored as one piece. It's exceptionally rigid due to its design.

Our custom carbon-fiber PETG blend is stiffer and more temperature-stable & weather resistant than other plastics, and strong enough that we can lift the entire back end of a heavy telescope by the tip of this protector with almost no flex.

Clean Cable Routing

Four hooked cable-management channels guide cables out of the sides of the sleeve while preventing torque on your connectors. The 7.5 mm channel width fits nearly all USB and power leads without requiring you switch to longer cables or contort them into an awkward bend.
